Byram River Beagle Club

We just completed a new timber-frame building and naming it The Byram River Beagle Club.  As many of you know the original building was torn down by a developer in the Riversville area and was known as the place where Lucy & Desi Arnaz exchanged vows. Connecticut had a shorter waiting time to get married and that was even waived by the officiant. Greenwich is right over the New York border and the first town you hit driving from NYC. This was also a favorite hang out spot of Babe Ruth.  History has this place as a speakeasy during prohibition days. Other than that it was used originally as a hunt & kennel club and hosted many horse shows. The last few decades it was used as a single family home.

So this building has been decorated with a mixture of hunt club/speak easy flavor. Many period pieces pulled from our collections and reproduction of sporting/actor pictures and articles of those that visited the original Club. This building will be used to host event/parties up to 150.

Just wanted to add that the original area of Riversville was inhabited by native Indians for hundreds of years and the area around 1700 started to become farmland.
